Residential Rehabilitation Programme

What a Client can Expect on the Residential Programme

  • a well decorated, clean and furnished room

  • fully equipped communal facilities

  • access to a payphone

  • a say on who to share the house with

  • a legally binding Licence Agreement

  • a clear set of 'House Expectations' with involvement in their review

  • a clear procedure for reporting repairs

  • a clear procedure for dealing with emergencies (eg burst pipes)

  • regular fire drills

  • the support and advice of the Senior Housing Officer

  • assistance with welfare benefit claims, including support at appeals

  • assistance with housing, including tenancy issues and housing applications

  • monthly 'House' meetings

  • consultation on any changes in the way a house is managed

  • an annual client satisfaction survey

  • a home that meets all Fire & Environmental Health regulations

  • a plan for moving on to secure accommodation at the end of treatment

  • resettlement support

  • a clear statement of the rent paid and any other personal monies held (eg. savings)


Treatment:

  • a written Treatment Contract

  • an agreed Care Plan

  • regular Care Reviews

  • an identified focal counsellor

  • a 'buddy' on arrival

  • weekly one-to-one counselling sessions

  • daily therapeutic groups

  • shame reduction & self-esteem work

  • complementary & alternative therapies

  • out-of-hours emergency contact with a counsellor

  • educational, lifestyle & therapeutic workshops

  • support & advice on education, training & employment

  • further education & community education courses

  • social & lifeskills programme

  • supported voluntary work placement

  • a spring & autumn activities camp

  • quarterly recreational outings

  • regular outdoor & indoor activities

  • regular feedback questionnaires

  • relapse prevention work

  • attendance at AA & NA

  • 12 Step work

  • positive reinforcement of abstinence

  • family/significant others meetings if appropriate

  • leaving ceremony with celebratory medallion

  • exit interview with the Director

 


General:
