1:1 Counselling in partnership with GamCare

ARA provides 1:1 counselling for people experiencing problems with their or a family members gambling. ARA’s 1:1 counselling services cover the whole of South West England (based at our Bristol and North Somerset offices) and South Wales (based at partner agenices in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Methyr Tydfil and Neath).

ARA works in partnership with GamCare, a registered charity and the leading national authority on the provision of advice, practical help, support and counselling in addressing the social impact of gambling. GamCare offers advice and information by phone and online.The GamCare helpline is 0808 802 0133. Calls to this number are free from all UK landlines and most major mobile phone networks. Young People’s Gambling Service

A new service is now available in Bristol to provide support and education to young people affected by their own or someone else’s gambling and help professionals deliver gambling education. For more click here.

Gambling Risk and Harm Minimisation Programme – South Wales

ARA has been selected by the Responsible Gambling Trust to provide a harm minimisation programme to clients in South Wales whose gambling is a cause for concern. The service is now up and running in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and Merthyr Tydfil.
