space

The housing support provided in ARA's shared houses, focuses on providing well maintained, furnished shared housing equipped with modern facilities. Housing Officers draw up an individual support plan, which identifies clients practical support needs, such as money management, budgeting, cooking and other independent living skills. The plan also identifies future housing options and is reviewed throughout the client's stay.

Housing costs are met from rental income and grants under Supporting People. Treatment costs are funded by Social Services, the Probation Service or from Drug Action Team's pooled budgets.

ARA also provides 3rd stage self contained housing for client's completing the Residential treatment programme and floating support for up to 1 year for client's living independently in the community.
