Lapse Provision

 

ARA also provides four beds within its residential services for clients who have lapsed on alcohol or drugs and want to regain abstinence.

Clients in the Lapse Accommodation can expect:

 

  • Access to therapeutic support including individual counseling, group work and therapeutic workshops.
  • Housing and support - including resettlement /move on.
  • Help and advice with money/debt management.
  • Individual care planning.
  • Welfare rights advice and advocacy.
  • Safe and secure accommodation
  • Weekly bus pass

       

          Applicants for the Lapse House will need to have:

 

  • Lapsed following a period of abstinence in residential treatment.
  • A desire to arrest the dynamics of lapse and prevent full-blown relapse.
  • A willingness to work meaningfully with Treatment & Housing providers toward recovery.
